Here are some of my favorite ways to bring mindfulness tools into daily living.

  • Box Breathing: An accessible breathing technique to calm the nervous system and brings your awareness into the present moment. You don’t have to be into yoga to try this! Here’s how: Box Breathing How-To and Why

  • Eating Mindfully: Slowing down and paying attention to the food you eat is an easy way to incorporate mindfulness in your daily life. This also has the added benefit of increasing your awareness of what you are preparing and eating, listening to hunger cues, and intuitive eating. Read more here.

  • Forest Bathing: This can be a simple practice involving walking around your natural environment (such as the woods or a path) and intentionally noticing what’s around you. Read about it here.
